What's New in ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1

ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1 offers new features designed to make it easier to use and more tightly integrate the product with the ANGEL LMS. With the stronger ties between ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1 and ANGEL LMS 7.3, instructors and program administrators can build evidence of program achievement to use for accreditation purposes or to provide reporting to external stakeholders. And in typical ANGEL fashion, the new functionality in ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1 was developed in direct response to user requests.

Know ANGEL LMS, Know ePortfolio

ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1 sports a redesigned user interface that follows the conventions in the ANGEL LMS, which makes using the products together an almost seamless experience. Instructors and students who already use ePortfolio will find it is as easy and intuitive to use as the ANGEL LMS. And new ePortfolio users will immediately see that the two products are closely related and that the cost of understanding, training, and documenting their use will be streamlined.

ePort interface

ANGEL ePortfolio now sports the same interface as the ANGEL LMS.

Flexible Publication Creation

ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1 offers a greater range of options for creating publications. ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1’s new in-line HTML editor, the same one available in the ANGEL LMS, increases the convenience, flexibility, and power of editing content for reflections and publication design. New publication templates offer users more options for creating publications, leading to more creative freedom and professional-looking work to share with others.

Build Evidence of Achievement

ePort Dropbox
ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1 enhances the ability for instructors and institutions to collect and manage program artifacts. With the new ePortfolio drop box in ANGEL LMS 7.3, instructors can assign and evaluate ePortfolio work from within the LMS. By making it easier to incorporate ePortfolio activities into course curricula, instructors can drive program assessment initiatives through ANGEL ePortfolio. And with the new ability to set achievement exercise due dates, instructors and administrators can lock down these exercises from modification past a certain date to ensure the validity of program assessments and store them for long-term program reporting.

Enhanced Collaboration

Additional searching capabilities available in ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1 make it easier for users looking for others’ publications to find them, providing a more collaborative learning environment. And with ANGEL ePortfolio 2.1’s new user-by-user permissions, portfolio owners gain more control over who can or cannot see their publications.
